Ducklings from three schools
May 31, 2008Friday afternoon I picked up two week old ducklings from Butterhill and ten two day old ducklings from Lee Road Elementary. Lee Road is keeping fourteen ducklings until next Friday. There is one little one that is touch and go but they all reveled in being outside in the grass.

May 31, 2008David Clearwater of Jones Farm called today. A teacher dropped off ten chicks she hatched. He kept four and offered me the rest. Here they are! Any guesses as to breed?

Day old ducklings
May 29, 2008Two special needs classes at Gabe’s elementary school hatched the last batch of duck eggs. Gabe and I went in early to check them out. One class had thirteen hatched and the other eleven and more eggs might hatch over the next two days. Wowee!
